Sample Agenda

Day I:
Learning about Ourselves & Each Other though ice-breaking games, creating “All About Me” books and team-building activities/games.

Day II: Making & Keeping Friends, Dealing with Bullies & Cliques through games, role playing, discussions & art projects dealing with facial expressions, verbal & non-verbal cues, moods & acceptance of differences.

Day III: Relaxation Techniques & Anger Management through problem solving, learning techniques for relaxation & nondestructive ways to express anger.

Day IV: Organization at Home & At School through the 3B’s (bedroom/backpack/ binder), simple, realistic techniques for becoming more organized, using self-rating scales & kid-friendly charts they design themselves.

Day V: Setting Goals & Designing Realistic Strategies to Reach Them by looking ahead to what positive things we want to accomplish in the near future as well as throughout the coming school year. Specific strategies for implementation will be created. During the last 30 minutes, the children will share with their parents what they’ve worked on during the week.

Each day will include 2 brief physical activity breaks, a healthy snack, a half hour for lunch, open discussion time & projects revolving around the daily theme.
